Taking care of children costs money. A lot of money. That is no different in Kenya than it is anywhere else. Fortunately the costst in Kenya are lower than they are in many other countries, however with a large group of childrens it still adds up to quite a sum.

De costs
The individual costs per child are about 75,00 euros per month. That is 2,50 euros per day. For food and drink, clothing, insurances, medical expenses, school, etc.. On top of that there are general fixed costs, expenses for such things as maintenance of the children's home, staff, transportation and electricity. All in all a considerable financial commitment. After all, it will not do to tell children to just go somewhere else for a while if money is tight. So we take that financial commitment very seriously. However, we cannot manage without your help.

Financial adoption
Single donations are, of course, very welcome. They do, however, mean an uncertain financial situation for us. We therefore ask of you, to commit yourself for the costs of one or more children on a structural basis through frequent, for instance monthly donations. This can be done individually, but you could also do it together with others: your family, your company, your school or your club. On behalf of the children we thank you in advance for your commitment and generosity!

Personal
The children will be absolutely excited to keep you posted on their every day life and ventures by regularly sending you letters, drawings and pictures. The will also be very curious about you, so if you reply to their letters, they will be very happy. And of course you are always welcome to visit them, perhaps as a part of your holiday in Kenya. Their contact with you, people from 'another world' to them, will also be great for their development.
